OUR PROGRAMS
Land Program
The Lands Program at Nubian Rights Forum (NRF) focuses on advocating for equitable access to land rights and addressing land injustices affecting marginalized communities in Kenya. This program is rooted in the belief that land is not just a critical resource but also a cornerstone for economic empowerment, cultural preservation, and social justice. Through advocacy and strategic litigation, the Lands Program seeks to protect and promote the rights of individuals and communities facing forced evictions, land dispossession, and other related injustices.
Radio Program
The Nubian Rights Forum’s Radio Program Uhaki Radio Show broadcasts on Pamoja FM community radio every Wednesday 10-11 AM and Saturdays 6-7 PM leverages the power of community media to address critical issues affecting marginalized groups. It broadcasts informative and interactive sessions on topics such as citizenship rights, health, and education.
Outreach Program
The Nubian Rights Forum’s Health Outreach Program focuses on improving community health and well-being.It reaches out to community health volunteers, community midwives and community nurses aiding in child births to assist in registration of marginalized community members with difficulties in access to documentation.
School Programs
The School Program by the Nubian Rights Forum promotes awareness of human rights, citizenship, and leadership among students. It engages learners in interactive sessions, workshops, and discussions to build their understanding of citizenship and nationality laws.
Citizenship Paralegals
The Nubian Rights Forum runs the Citizenship Paralegal Program to assist individuals from marginalized communities in navigating Kenya’s complex citizenship and documentation processes. Trained paralegals offer legal aid, guidance on application requirements, and support for obtaining vital documents such as national IDs and birth certificates.
